Although the state of New York was among the first to go ahead with legal sports betting, opening their first sports betting parlors in July of 2019, there’s still no legal online sports wagering and mobile apps in the state of NY.
However, several of the operational sportsbooks do have working agreements in place with prominent online players in the sports betting industry, so the expectation is that once New York gives the go ahead for mobile and online wagering on sports, it won’t take long for these sites to be up and operational.

Here is a list of the expected in 2020/2021 mobile apps for sports betting in New York.
Already operating in New Jersey, Indiana and Iowa, PointsBet offers new customers up to $1,000 in risk-free bets when they open a new account.
FanDuel provides new customers with a $500 risk-free bet upon signing up.
Del Lago Resort Casino in Waterloo, N.Y. has partnered with DraftKings. Make a first deposit to your new account of up to $500 and DraftKings will match it 100 percent in the form of a risk-free bet.
Bet365 and the Resorts World Catskills in Monticello, N.Y. have teamed up to provide online sports betting from that site once it is legalized within the state. Bet365 offers a matching welcome bonus worth up to $200 in bet credits to new customers.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo remains opposed to online sports betting. However, language about online betting has been included in the state budget, and is also gaining ground within the State Assembly.
The state is facing a $6 billion budget deficit, which could move Cuomo and others in opposition to adjust their stance. If that were to happen, it’s estimated online sports betting could be operational within the state by early 2021.
