Yes, we can say DraftKings is legal in NY State. Currently, three DFS operators FantasyDraft, FanDuel, DraftKings are active in New York.
DraftKings blocked players from Alabama, Arizona, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, Montana, and the Washington States. But it doesn’t mean playing DraftKings is illegal in these states.
As per Aug 3, 2016’s NY State legislation DFS sites are accepted under the ‘games of skill’ category while the games of chance are illegal online.
